Paradise Islands at the Equator   The Island is situated in the Brazilian state of Para, the second largest state. First you go to Marapanim and from there you take a local boat that brings you to Geraldo Island in 25 minutes.  The Island is close to the mainland and has an area of 1.100 ha and the circumference is 25.500 meters, thereof 4.300 meters of lovely white sands and dunes. It is an ecological paradise with a great number of species, for instance big maritime turtles that lay their eggs on the beaches in October every year. Totally untouched nature. Drinking water you get in abundance from so called Amazon wells that are 0,5 m under the surface, a common way to water supply in this region. There is no electricity, but it is not difficult to put up windmills and the constant breeze is sufficient to get the electricity you need.
